The Store Director is responsible for the overall leadership, operational performance, and financial results of the store. Requirements

  • Proven leadership experience in retail, grocery, or multi‑unit store operations.
  • Strong business acumen with experience managing financial performance and labor.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and develop high‑performing teams.
  • Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Proficiency in operational reporting, systems, and performance metrics.
  • Ability to remain on feet for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and move up to company‑defined weight limits.
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures and retail environments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop store leadership and department management teams.
  • Drive a culture of accountability, engagement, inclusion, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure proper staffing, succession planning, and talent development across all departments.
  • Conduct performance management, coaching, and corrective action as needed.
  • Promote a safe, respectful, and compliant workplace environment.
  • Oversee daily store operations to ensure efficiency, consistency, and execution of company standards.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, labor standards, safety regulations, and legal requirements.
  • Partner with department leaders to maintain optimal store conditions, cleanliness, and in‑stock levels.
  • Ensure accurate execution of merchandising, pricing, and promotional programs.
  • Drive shrink reduction initiatives and operational best practices.
  • Champion an exceptional customer experience by setting service expectations and leading by example.
  • Monitor customer feedback and resolve escalated concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Ensure consistent execution of service standards across all departments.
  • Own the store’s P&L and drive sales, profit, and expense control.
  • Analyze performance metrics and take corrective action to achieve financial goals.
  • Manage labor budgets and productivity to align with business needs.
  • Identify opportunities to grow sales through merchandising, service, and operational excellence.
  • Partner with district and support teams (HR, Operations, Merchandising, Loss Prevention, etc.).
  • Communicate expectations clearly and consistently to all store teams.
  • Support company initiatives, pilots, and change management efforts.
