You Will Be A Community Pillar: You serve as the definitive representative of Sea Mart to the Sitka community, building strong relationships in our unique island environment. The Cultural Architect: You are responsible for the strategic vision that ensures our "Spirit of Alaska" hospitality is reflected in every department. A Logistics Master: You possess the expertise to manage high-volume procurement and inventory flow within the constraints of a barge-dependent supply chain.

Requirements

  • Experience: 10+ years of senior retail leadership with proven expertise in multi-departmental synchronization.
  • Senior Management: Extensive experience in high-volume retail operations and financial strategy with expert knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations, including ADA, FMLA, and Alaska Labor Laws.
  • Age Requirement: Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Certifications: Ability to obtain a valid Alaska Food Workers Card within 30 days and/or a ServSafe Manager Certification.
  • Technical Mastery: Advanced proficiency in executive portals for financial reporting and security system oversight.
  • Island Mobility: Ability to traverse the entire facility to monitor safety, quality, and merchandising standards in all Southeast Alaska weather conditions.
  • Strategic Focus: Capacity for extended stationary periods during complex financial analysis and labor-hour management.
  • Critical Awareness: Ability to monitor security camera feeds and respond to facility alarms or emergency alerts.

Responsibilities

  • Architect Strategic Vision: Define and drive long-term operational goals, ensuring the "Spirit of Alaska" experience is consistent across all departments.
  • Master Financial Performance: Hold final accountability for the store's total Profit & Loss (P&L), labor budget architecture, and capital expenditures.
  • Develop Elite Leadership: Mentor the Assistant Store Director and Department Managers to foster a high-performing senior leadership team.
  • Oversee 24-Hour Operations: Synchronize operations between graveyard stocking and daytime service to ensure seamless functionality around the clock.
  • Liaise with the Community: Act as the primary liaison for vendors, corporate stakeholders, and the local Sitka public.
  • Plan for Longevity: Manage facility maintenance and strategic capital investments to ensure long-term operational excellence.
