About The Position

The Store Design Coordinator will be responsible for collaborating with cross-functional teams to support the real estate and new store development process. He/she will work closely with the store design team, national sign vendors, and architectural consultants to prepare documents for potential new stores and relocation projects. He/she will also be responsible for managing deliverable schedules, developing design sketches, and preparing real estate documents. Collaborates with the Construction and Real Estate teams to gather site-specific documents (LOD, storefront elevations, renderings, and site plan) for potential new sites being presented at the monthly REC meeting. Develops rough storefront sketches for new sites according to the Ulta Beauty design guidelines. Reviews existing storefront packages for the Real Estate team during lease renewals. Responsible for developing test fits for potential site specifics layouts – sketches, bubble diagrams, back of house layouts, etc. Coordinate and respond to Repairs and Maintenance requests and lease renewal accommodations. Partners with senior staff on any special projects as needed. Ability to work on multiple projects with variable timelines concurrently. Supports senior staff in design project management including task prioritization, coordination, and workload management. Assist store design team members in core job responsibilities.

Requirements

  • BA in interior design, architecture, or related field.
  • Minimum 1 to 3 years of experience at an interior design or architectural firm or a retail store design department.
  • General understanding of building codes & ADA requirements.
  • Understanding of construction documents and implementation of design elements.
  • Ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment and work within various phases of projects.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Illustrator, SketchUp, InDesign, Photoshop, and Excel.
  • Ability to interact and collaborate with other team members.
