About The Position

The Store Custodian plays a vital role in creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for customers, donors, and associates. This position is responsible for maintaining the overall cleanliness and appearance of Goodwill Southeast Georgia retail locations while upholding our mission, values, and commitment to service excellence. Through attention to detail and consistent care, the Store Custodian helps ensure our stores remain neat, tidy, and inviting supporting both the customer experience and the success of our mission services. Requirements

Six (6) months of custodial or janitorial experience preferred.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Knowledge of basic cleaning methods, tools, and equipment.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate positively and professionally with customers, co-workers, and supervisors.
Dependable work ethic and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Provide a consistent, high-quality cleaning experience throughout the store.
Sweep and mop floors and sanitize restrooms.
Clean sinks, countertops, microwaves, and refrigerators in break rooms.
Restock supplies in bathrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
Empty trash receptacles, replace liners, and clean containers as needed.
Dust and clean dressing rooms, store fixtures, office desks, furniture, and common surfaces.
Clean windowsills and interior windows.
Maintain janitorial equipment in a clean, safe, and operable condition.
Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and paper products and restock assigned areas as needed.
Demonstrate proper safety practices and ensure departmental standards are maintained.
Actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety initiatives by following company policies and procedures.
