About The Position

As a NAPA Counter Sales associate, you are looked at as the “face of the retail store” and the go-to person for all automotive needs. You will provide auto parts answers and solutions for retail and wholesale customers both in person and over the phone. This role is a great opportunity for those looking to build a career as a Parts Specialist or simply wanting to explore other careers within the company. You will engage with customers to provide a positive experience and assist other team members with their inquiries. The position requires a customer-focused attitude and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License
• Previous experience in a parts store or automotive industry, or willingness to learn about auto parts.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Technical or Trade school courses or degree.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced retail environments.
• Great listening skills and empathy for customers.

Nice To Haves

• Background and/or passion for the automotive industry, heavy equipment, farm industry, diesel, marine, or dealership.
• Experience in a parts store, auction, retail store, auto body/collision.
• Knowledge of cataloging and/or inventory management systems.
• ASE Certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide auto parts answers and solutions for retail and wholesale customers in person and over the phone.
• Assist other NAPA team members with customer inquiries using your parts knowledge.
• Deliver outstanding customer care and interactions with everyone who comes into the NAPA Store.
• Welcome retail customers and engage them to provide a positive consumer experience.
• Utilize technology (computer), cash register, telephone, and paper catalog system.
