The PantherDining at Georgia State University is seeking to hire a Store Clerk II. This position is responsible for receiving, inspecting, unloading, recording, and stocking items received. Performs clerical duties such as filing purchase orders and other inventory documents.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • A valid Georgia driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

  • Trains and develops the Store Clerk I, along with student assistants and temporary staff.
  • Receives, inspects, unloads, records, and stocks items received.
  • Counts inventory in stock and posts to inventory record.
  • Checks inventory levels to assure required product is in stock for both regular business and emergency planning requirements.
  • Completes receiving reports as required.
  • Pulls, stages, delivers, and completes transfer paperwork of various campus locations.
  • Assists with unloading of product at each location.
  • Responds quickly and accurately to all product inquiries by food service personnel.
  • Identified inventoried items with appropriate labeling techniques, decals, or UPC bar codes.
  • Prepares requisitions or other documents for purchasing new stock items.
  • Assists in setting up pre-inventory sheets.
  • Performs clerical duties such as filing purchase orders and other inventory documents.
  • Follows FIFO inventory method and set guidelines established by department.
  • Reconciles all discrepancies immediately with management team.
  • Forwards all product paperwork (packing slips, invoices, transfer sheets, etc) to administrative team.
  • Inputting inventory in FoodPro, assisting Chef with food cost management.
  • Excellent customer service.
  • May be required to be cross-trained for another position and/or responsibility in order to provide both back-up for a department as well as to supplement resources needed during certain times of the year.
