Requirements

High School Diploma or GED (or in progress)
A team player who takes the initiative and enjoys working with people
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks like bending and standing
May be required to obtain and maintain food handler or alcohol server permits, depending on state/local regulations
Demonstrate our core values — honesty, efficiency, a positive attitude, respect and teamwork

Responsibilities

Provide friendly, prompt service at the register or self-checkout and greet guests and teammates with a smile.
Suggest additional products to enhance guest purchases.
Address guest concerns with urgency and involve managers as needed.
Foster a team-oriented, respectful work environment.
Ensure food and beverage items are available and up to quality standards.
Maintain cleanliness in food prep areas, ensuring proper storage and labeling of ingredients, and adhering to all food safety regulations.
Restock shelves, coolers, and display areas as needed.
Maintain a clean, welcoming store environment inside and out, completing regular cleaning tasks.
Assist in inventory management and restocking.
Respond promptly and respectfully to management directions.
Be flexible and capable of working in all areas of the store, including food service, store cleaning, cash wrap, and stocking shelves/coolers.
Prepare, handle, and serve food in accordance with safety and quality standards.
Clean all areas of the store, including breaking down food equipment and following established cleaning procedures.
Ensure adherence to safety protocols when handling chemicals.
Operate the cash register efficiently and accurately, process transactions, handle cash and card payments, and provide excellent guest service.
Ensure the register area is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies while adhering to all cash-handling policies and procedures.
Act as the first point of contact for guest concerns, responding respectfully and compassionately while recognizing when to escalate issues to the shift manager.
Meet guest transaction expectations by managing line lengths and providing polite, clear, and prompt communication.
Follow all written and verbal instructions to uphold food safety standards, including thoroughly cleaning preparation stations.
Proactively inform guests about promotional food items to raise awareness and drive product engagement.
Act in accordance with all RaceTrac policies, as well as federal, state, and local safety regulations.
Respond openly to feedback from guests, team members, and leaders, making necessary adjustments to enhance performance.
Be a reliable team player by arriving on time for scheduled shifts, supporting teammates, sharing important information, and working effectively with individuals from different backgrounds.
Engage with guests and teammates politely and respectfully, listening actively to their requests without interrupting.
