Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED (or in progress)
  • A team player who takes the initiative and enjoys working with people
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks like bending and standing
  • May be required to obtain and maintain food handler or alcohol server permits, depending on state/local regulations

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Operate the cash register efficiently and accurately, process transactions, handle payments, and provide friendly, prompt guest service.
  • Suggest additional products and inform guests about promotional items to enhance purchases and drive engagement.
  • Act as the first point of contact for guest concerns, responding respectfully and compassionately, and escalating issues to managers as needed.
  • Foster a team-oriented, respectful work environment by being a reliable team player, supporting teammates, and engaging politely and respectfully with guests and colleagues.
  • Prepare, handle, and serve food in accordance with safety and quality standards, ensuring food and beverage items are available.
  • Maintain a clean and organized food service area, ensuring proper storage, labeling, and adherence to all food safety regulations and cleaning procedures.
  • Restock shelves, coolers, and display areas, ensuring they are fully stocked, clean, and well-organized.
  • Maintain a clean, welcoming store environment inside and out by completing regular cleaning tasks and following established cleaning procedures for all areas, including food equipment.
  • Respond promptly and respectfully to management directions, and be flexible and capable of working in all areas of the store, including food service, store cleaning, cash wrap, and stocking shelves/coolers.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols when handling chemicals.
  • Meet guest transaction expectations by managing line lengths and providing polite, clear, and prompt communication while responding quickly to requests.
  • Act in accordance with all RaceTrac policies, as well as federal, state, and local safety regulations, including those related to food safety.
  • Respond openly to feedback from guests, team members, and leaders, making necessary adjustments to enhance performance.
