About The Position

The Assistant Store Manager, under the direction of the Convenience Store Manager, is responsible for assisting with the daily operations of the convenience store. In addition to, overseeing inventory and leading the team to provide exceptional customer service, and performing task in a highly professional manner.

Requirements

  • One-year prior convenience store experience preferred.
  • Ability to handle money and operate a computer terminal
  • Communicate with the public in a clear and friendly manner
  • Knowledge of 10-key, balancing of drawers.
  • Must have high school diploma or GED
  • Must be able read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Must have basic math skills
  • Title 31 Training
  • ServSafe Certification
  • Food Handlers Certification
  • Alcohol Awareness
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Must meet requirements to qualify for a Cahuilla Casino Gaming License.
  • Must pass an extensive background security check. No felony convictions and no serious misdemeanor convictions.
  • Must be able to complete the 90 day Introductory Period in consecutive days as scheduled

  • Preference for candidates with petroleum experience

Responsibilities

  • Assist with managing store activities of a fast-paced, high-volume facility.
  • Assist with all operations, protocols, and policies.
  • Accountable for all of the cash accounting and balancing of cash.
  • Accountable for all credit transactions, and balancing of credit transactions.
  • Assist with training of employees.
  • Assist with scheduling of employees.
  • Assist with inventory, ordering, inventory levels, and inventory loss.
  • Assist with shift paperwork recap, daily balancing of paperwork.
  • Assist with monthly reporting, tanks SIR’s, inventory accounting.
  • Promote teamwork and cooperation with supervisors and all co-workers
  • Attend all mandatory meetings
  • Promote positive guest relations through prompt, courteous, and efficient service
  • Knowledge of jurisdiction gaming laws as well as internal controls, policies and procedures
  • Comply with Title 31 record keeping and procedures
  • Keep all information concerning guests confidential
  • Maintain a consistent and regular attendance record
  • Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned
