The Assistant Manager at Goodwill of the Great Plains plays a crucial role in supporting the Store Manager in the daily operations and management of the retail store. The Assistant Manager will also be responsible for training new employees and stepping in for the Store Manager when needed.

  • Assume full store responsibility in the absence of the Store Manager, including directing personnel activities.
  • Ensure sales transactions are accurately rung up and reported.
  • Maintain all store records in the absence of the Store Manager.
  • Ensure the retail store is adequately stocked and displayed professionally.
  • Set, display, and evaluate a high level of customer service.
  • Inspect produced materials for quality and accurate pricing.
  • Provide training and evaluation for new retail employees.
  • Support the Store Manager during meetings and disciplinary actions.
  • Experience in retail management or supervisory roles.
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to lead a team.
  • Ability to handle cash and perform cashier duties accurately.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Previous experience in a non-profit retail environment.

  • Competitive hourly wage between $20.50 - $21.39.
