About The Position

As a Store Asset Protection Manager at Meijer, you will play a crucial role in fostering a culture of shrink prevention and safety within the store environment. Collaborating closely with the Market Asset Protection Manager and Store Leadership, your primary focus will be on operational excellence, theft controls, and the development of team members. You will oversee the implementation of Asset Protection initiatives and ensure adherence to company directives aimed at maintaining an environment characterized by integrity and excellence. Your leadership will be pivotal in promoting a culture of safety, emphasizing a 200% accountability standard among all team members. In this position, you will manage the Asset Protection team, which includes responsibilities such as hiring, conducting performance reviews, providing timely feedback, and scheduling within budgetary constraints. You will also be actively involved in investigating internal and external losses, ensuring that effective deterrence methods are executed throughout the store. This includes training store leadership on merchandise protection strategies and maintaining a strong presence in the store's Safety Committee to uphold safety standards. Your role will also involve conducting safety audits to identify unsafe conditions and behaviors, implementing strategies to address any concerns, and ensuring the physical security of the store. This includes overseeing the operational status of Asset Protection technology, fire protection systems, and key control measures. You will develop and implement strategies related to the store's shrink plans, ensuring that Asset Protection goals are met and that professional standards are maintained within the Asset Protection office. Additionally, you will review financial reports to conduct root cause analyses of identified issues, partnering with store leadership to develop resolutions. Your responsibilities will also include conducting pre and post-inventory assessments, participating in store meetings, and presenting on Asset Protection topics during new team member orientations and department-specific meetings. This position is dynamic and may require you to perform other duties as assigned or required, reflecting the evolving needs of the organization.
