About The Position

General Function: Responsible for office operations including answering phones, greeting visitors, running reports, and giving tours. Also responsible for cultivating content and taking photos/videos for social media and Bunk1.

Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Great customer service
  • CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, Oxygen and First Aid Certifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Physically fit and able to hike, walk, stand, bend and lift comfortably over the course of a day.
  • Mentally and visually alert to recognize potential hazards and accidents.
  • Physically and mentally able to respond to emergencies and administer emergency care effectively.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience with photography and office work is desirable.
  • Prior experience with youth or family programming.

Responsibilities

  • Answer phones, communicate with parents, run reports, greet guests, print Bunk1 emails, sort mail, and assist the Program Director in all office operations.
  • Take daily photos, upload photos to Bunk1 and social media, organize annual staff photo.
  • Answer calls, respond to messages, run reports, and complete other duties necessary to manage an effective camp office as directed by the Program Director
  • Greet all visitors, campers, and staff with a professional and friendly attitude.
  • Keep inventory of office supplies and give list of items to be ordered to Program Director.
  • Give tours when a visitor or guest requests one.
  • While keeping the leadership staff informed of all potential issues, the Office Manager will maintain strict confidentiality on all issues that may arise from phone calls or working in the office.
  • Take photos daily of campers engaged in camp
  • Post photos twice daily to Bunk1
  • Create content to post to social media as approved by the Program Director
  • Sort mail and Bunk1 emails daily
  • Provide administrative support, as directed, to members of the summer Leadership Team.
  • Act as a positive role model for campers and other staff, demonstrating the values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility in the performance of job duties.
  • Evaluate current season, make suggestions, and create Office Manager/ Media Specialist manual for following season.
  • Will work stayover weekends as assigned.
  • To perform all other duties as needed or assigned. These are not the only duties to be performed. Some duties may be reassigned and other duties may be assigned as required.
