Requirements

  • Training relative to:
  • Company and governmental operating/safety procedures
  • Gas system/liquid pipeline maintenance operations
  • Storage well injection and withdrawal
  • Construction and maintenance activities
  • Characteristics of products handled
  • Knowledge of: operation and maintenance of a storage facility
  • Knowledge of: the use, function, and maintenance of tools applicable to position. Training relative to repair and maintenance of compressor station and storage facility equipment
  • Ability to: apply addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
  • Ability to: read and interpret maps, drawings, plats, atlas pages, work logs, job orders, dials, gauges, charts, procedures, and operational and repair manuals
  • Ability to: react immediately to emergency situations to prevent injury to self and others
  • Ability to: detect and react to warning signals at work sites
  • Ability to: operate tools and equipment as required
  • Ability to: work in confined areas
  • Ability to: Travel over uneven terrain including but not limited to: Mud, gravel, sand, rocks, ice and/or snow

Responsibilities

  • Assist with or perform rotating shift work at storage facility including but not limited to:
  • Operating and maintaining storage field equipment
  • Measurement activities/Gauging tanks
  • Changing charts
  • Blowing drips
  • Maintain facility appearance
  • Quality assurance/quality control
  • Operation of engines/gas compressors
  • Gas dehydration equipment
  • Monitor pressure and check operation of equipment
  • Drive and ensure maintenance is complete on company vehicles
  • Read, record, prepare, and/or process information from charts, dials, gauges, controls, and other recording devices including but not limited to:
  • Equipment maintenance and repair
  • Equipment operation and performance problems
  • Safety/environmental forms
  • Communicate and/or exchange written and verbal information and instructions
  • Responsibilities may include Department of Transportation (DOT) covered functions, including operations, maintenance, or emergency response on a pipeline. Job duties also require the employee to be alert and respond immediately to dangerous or hazardous conditions, and where impaired performance, or failure to follow safety precautions, could result in serious injury or property damage.
