About The Position

Overview We have a career opportunity for a Storage Operations and Land Administrator to join our team! The successful candidates primary duties include managing the leaseholds in six gas storage fields which is vital to the operations of Underground Storage. This includes facilitating land acquisitions, leases, right’s-of-way and easements. Making lease, surface and free gas payments as stated in the Oil and Gas lease. Researching county property records to determine mineral and surface ownership, prove owner has clear title or obtain documentation to cure title. Also, manages easements, right’s-of-way, free gas usage and other types of oil and gas agreements. Maintains accurate lease files databases, payment records and free gas usage. Works with land owner to settle property or crop damages. Supervises storeroom operations as well as acting as liaison for Safety Department, Human Resources Department, Purchasing Department and the local community. This position is located at Citizens Energy Group at 3493 W 990 N, Worthington, IN 47471 . Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in related field.
  • Must have a valid Indiana Driver’s License.
  • Computer Skills (Microsoft Office)
  • Organizational Skills

Responsibilities

  • Facilitates land acquisitions, leasing, right’s-of way and easements.
  • Researches leases, right’s-of way, easements and other types of oil and gas agreements.
  • Researches county property records for title information in determining property ownership and mineral ownership.
  • Works to cure title or lease of omissions or errors.
  • Seeks legal counsel when needed.
  • Generates lease and surface payments to lessors as indicated by the terms of the Oil and Gas lease and documents payments.
  • Works with land owner to settle property or crop damage claims in gas storage fields.
  • Maintains accurate lease files and databases.
  • Documents free gas payments and submit to Accounts Payable for reporting 1099 information.
  • Performs annual audit of gas usage by free gas lessors.
  • Actively pursues buying back free gas outlets
  • Acts as liaison between utility and lessors.
  • Public relations between UGS and the local community.
  • Handles donation requests, attends 4H Livestock Auction and other activities as needed.
  • Human Resources liaison for UGS employees.
  • Facilitates health and wellness activities, job postings, assists UGS personnel with general HR requests.
  • Purchasing activities: creates annual drawdown PO’s, accounts for company credit card usage ($7,500), forwards invoices to accounts payable, liaison with purchasing and potential local supplies, enters purchase requisitions and receives orders in Oracle as needed.
  • Administrates UGS small claims checking ($5,000) and sends report to Finance each month.
  • Administrates petty cash account ($1,000) and sends report to Finance each month.
  • Supervise storeroom operations.
  • Maintain quantities of material and supplies needed for operation of UGS.
  • Use Oracle to receive, enter issue tickets, inventory audits and set min/max requirements.
  • Safety Department liaison for UGS employees.
  • Ensures compliance by maintaining employee CDL records and scheduling CDL and coke oven physicals.
  • Coordinates fire school training and other activities as needed.
  • Manage non-operational oil revenue income and expenses.
