About The Position

Provide operational leadership for enterprise storage and backup platforms supporting hybrid and cloud-enabled environments. This role is responsible for ensuring secure, highly available, and compliant data protection solutions while serving as a technical lead within a mission-critical organization.

Requirements

Active SECRET security clearance
IAT Level II certification (or equivalent)
Enterprise storage architecture and operations
NetApp SAN/NAS platforms
Backup and recovery solutions (NetBackup preferred)
Disaster recovery planning and execution
Cloud storage experience (Azure and/or AWS)
U.S. Citizenship is required

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years of IT experience, or Master’s degree with 10+ years of experience
Strong in disaster recovery and data protection in classified or regulated environments
Experience supporting or interfacing with government customers and contractor teams
Ability to operate independently as the technical authority on the team

Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day operations of enterprise backup and storage platforms, including hybrid-cloud data protection solutions, SAN/NAS technologies, and software-defined storage.
Design, implement, and sustain secure storage and backup environments aligned with DoD security standards and regulatory requirements (including STIGs and FIPS).
Develop and maintain automation for monitoring, maintenance, and routine operational tasks to support 24x7 availability and rapid incident response.
Partner with engineering, cybersecurity, and program stakeholders to execute disaster recovery strategies and continuity of operations plans.
Lead capacity forecasting, system lifecycle management, and configuration changes in accordance with ITIL/ITSM best practices.
Serve as the technical escalation point for storage and backup-related issues and initiatives.
