About The Position

The Storage & Backup Administrator is responsible for managing all centralized storage technologies, Backup Infrastructure and backup technologies. This role requires an experienced Storage Engineer with thorough expertise in Storage planning, designing, and administration. The position involves hands-on experience in managing and maintaining enterprise class Storage/SAN/Backup systems, as well as engaging with cutting-edge technologies. The administrator will also be involved in coding, scripting, and automating Storage functions and monitoring to support business solutions for customers.

Requirements

• Experience in Storage Area Networking (SAN) Design/Implementation.
• Expertise in Storage and Backup Plan/Design/Implementation.
• Strong performance analysis and troubleshooting skills.
• Administration experience with Dell-EMC, Hitachi, HP-3PAR, Infinidat Storage.
• MDS CISCO SAN Administration experience.
• Linux and VMware ESX Operating System Administration.
• Experience in Disaster Recovery Design and Implementation.
• Proficiency in Shell, Perl, and Python scripting.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in Data Migration, Server Migration, Storage Frame Migration, SAN migration.
• Disaster Recovery Design and implementation using HP Data Protector and Commvault.
• Experience with EMC Data Domain, HP StorOnce, HP StorEver MSL Tape Libraries.
• Storage provisioning to Linux and ESX Hosts from Infinidat, Hitachi VSP, HP 3PAR.
• Certification with Dell-EMC, CISCO MDS SAN.

Responsibilities

• Manage all centralized storage technologies and backup infrastructure.
• Plan, design, and administer storage systems.
• Engage in troubleshooting within Storage and SAN environments.
• Manage Data Center operations including Storage, Server, SAN, Backup, and Network infrastructure.
• Code, script, and automate Storage functions.
• Design and implement Storage, SAN, and Backup projects.
• Create Change Control documents and execute changes seamlessly.
• Provide on-call production support.
• Provision storage to Linux and VMware ESX hosts.
• Script for SAN based backups and reporting.
