About The Position

Nisbet Brower is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Stone Fabricator Technician to join our production team. This role is responsible for fabricating, finishing, and preparing stone products—primarily countertops—for residential and commercial projects. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience working with natural and engineered stone, a strong commitment to quality craftsmanship, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced fabrication environment.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in stone fabrication, countertop fabrication, or a related trade preferred
  • Knowledge of natural and engineered stone materials and fabrication processes
  • Ability to operate fabrication machinery and hand tools safely and effectively
  • Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and measurements
  • Good manual dexterity and physical stamina
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to lift heavy materials (with assistance or equipment as required)
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Trade school or on-the-job fabrication training preferred
  • 2+ years of stone fabrication experience preferred (will consider motivated candidates with relevant experience)
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy stone materials (with proper equipment)
  • Comfortable working in a fabrication shop environment with noise, dust, and machinery

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate stone countertops and custom stone projects according to specifications and drawings
  • Operate and maintain fabrication equipment, including saws, polishers, CNC machines, and hand tools
  • Perform cutting, shaping, edging, polishing, and finishing of stone materials (granite, quartz, marble, etc.)
  • Read and interpret shop drawings, templates, and work orders
  • Inspect finished products to ensure accuracy, quality, and adherence to company standards
  • Repair or rework stone pieces as needed to meet quality expectations
  • Safely handle, move, and load stone materials within the shop
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Follow all safety procedures and company policies
  • Collaborate with installers, project managers, and team members to meet production deadlines
