Lives depend on what we do! We currently have an opening for a Stockroom Manager in our Digital Receiver Technology (DRT) subsidiary location in Germantown, MD office. This position reports to the Manager of Manufacturing at DRT. This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's operating policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities can include interviewing, hiring, training and developing employees; creating effective staff plans - assigning and directing work; performance appraisals, rewarding and management of employee discipline when required; and addressing complaints and resolving conflicts. Active mentoring and development of staff is a critical element of the supervisory responsibilities to create a highly performing cohesive team.

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the DRT Stockroom, ensuring all material movement, kitting, and dispositioning processes are executed accurately and efficiently.
  • Supervise and coordinate receipt, storage, and issuance of inventory goods, including directing the preparation of materials for kitting and shipment.
  • Ensure timely transfer of goods from Receiving Inspection into correct storage or kitting locations.
  • Manage all clerical, record-keeping, and administrative functions of the Stockroom Department.
  • Design, maintain, and optimize the organizational structure, workflows, and systems for the Assembly Stockroom to maximize efficiency.
  • Develop budget forecasts, define staffing needs, and implement cost control measures aligned with departmental objectives.
  • Plan and conduct regular inventory audits, reconcile discrepancies, and enforce corrective actions.
  • Train, develop, evaluate, and mentor stockroom personnel, establishing performance standards and driving continuous improvement.
  • Interface with production, procurement, quality, and logistics teams to ensure materials availability and process coordination.
  • Monitor key performance metrics (e.g. inventory accuracy, turnaround time, throughput) and implement process improvements to meet or exceed targets.
  • Uphold, promote, and educate your team on the Thales Code of Ethics and TUSA Compliance Policy, ensuring all actions and processes reflect corporate integrity and compliance.
  • U.S. Citizenship required. Applicants selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in a manufacturing or stockroom environment, with increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in managing material handling or warehouse operations.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control systems, materials management, and kitting processes.
  • Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office applications; Deltek Costpoint preferred.
  • Proven ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication, team-building, and problem-solving skills.
