About The Position

The position involves overseeing the process of restocking returned parts from production areas through various systems, ensuring that all transactions are completed and properly filed. The role requires a strong understanding of safety requirements and the ability to prepare units for shipping, which may include building crates and pallets. The candidate will support Lean Initiatives through methodologies such as 5S, LDMS, ACP's, and RAT's, and must possess the skills to work independently or with minimal direction.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Baan preferred.
• Ability to read and understand units of measurement (e.g., feet, inches, each, roll, etc.).
• Prior experience working in stockroom/shipping department is a plus.
• Willingness to cross-train and work when needed across all areas of stockroom, shipping, and receiving.
• Ability to use power tools (e.g., saw, air guns, nail guns).
• Ability to operate a sitting and standing forklift.
• Ability to perform work responsibilities with minimal supervision.
• Flexibility and availability to work overtime as required by production needs.
• Ability to work with all levels of employees within plant/office and external customers.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Ability to accurately record and transfer information/transactions to required forms.

Responsibilities

• Complete and file systems transactions.
• Perform and audit daily cycle counts within the main warehouse.
• Aid and pull parts for production.
• Process and restock returned parts from production areas.
• Receive and transfer parts to appropriate areas for distribution.
• Understand and follow all safety requirements.
• Prepare units for shipping, including building crates and pallets.
• Support Lean Initiatives through 5S, LDMS, ACP's, RAT's, etc.
• Work with or without direction.
• Receive work assignments through oral and/or written instructions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
