About The Position

The Stockroom/Inventory Clerk is responsible for receiving, organizing, tracking, and distributing materials, supplies, and products within the warehouse or stock area. This role ensures accurate inventory counts, maintains stockroom organization, and supports operational efficiency through timely replenishment and documentation.

Requirements

  • Experience in stockroom, warehouse, or inventory control roles.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Basic computer skills (Excel, inventory systems, scanners).
  • Ability to lift and move materials as required (typically 25–50 lbs).
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with ERP or warehouse management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
  • Forklift certification or equipment-handling experience.
  • Knowledge of shipping/receiving processes and documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Inventory Management
  • Maintain accurate inventory records through counting, labeling, and tracking stock levels.
  • Perform regular cycle counts and assist with full physical inventories.
  • Identify discrepancies, damaged goods, or shortages and report them promptly.
  • Update inventory systems and logs with receipts, transfers, and adjustments.
  • Receiving & Shipping
  • Receive incoming shipments by verifying quantities, inspecting for damage, and documenting materials received.
  • Process outgoing shipments, ensuring proper packaging, labeling, and documentation.
  • Coordinate with carriers, drivers, and internal departments as needed.
  • Stockroom Operations
  • Organize and maintain a clean, efficient, and safe stockroom environment.
  • Store products and materials in designated locations using proper methods.
  • Replenish stock for departments or production areas based on requests or minimum inventory levels.
  • Pull, prepare, and distribute materials per work orders, pick lists, or requisitions.
  • Documentation & Systems
  • Enter data into inventory management systems (ERP/WMS) accurately and promptly.
  • Maintain detailed and organized inventory records, including receipts, transfers, and adjustments.
  • Generate stock reports as required.
  • Collaboration & Communication
  • Work with purchasing, production, logistics, and other departments to ensure accurate material flow.
  • Communicate inventory issues or risks (e.g., low stock, delays, errors).
  • Support audits and compliance checks.
