The Stockroom Clerk position involves performing physical and administrative tasks related to the shipping, receiving, order fulfillment, storing, and distributing of materials, parts, supplies, and equipment. The role requires unpacking and checking goods received against purchase orders or invoices, maintaining records of received goods, and rejecting unsatisfactory items. The Stockroom Clerk will lift heavy items and may operate a forklift, prepare and maintain records of merchandise shipped, post weights and shipping charges, and prepare goods for final shipment. Additionally, the clerk will examine, stock, and distribute materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines, and may prepare kitting packages for assembly production. Key responsibilities include ensuring that materials from receiving inspection are correctly identified and put away into appropriate stockroom locations, performing shortage fills to work orders during the put-away procedure, complying with FIFO procedures when materials are received, pulling parts from stock to work orders as directed, performing daily cycle count tasks, providing stockroom window service, and maintaining a neat and orderly stockroom. Training in the use of the Oracle data entry system for processing transactions and researching problems is also required.
