About The Position

The Stockroom Clerk I is responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing materials, tools, equipment, and products within the stockroom. This entry-level position plays a critical role in ensuring accurate inventory control and supports production and shipping operations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED (preferred).
• 0–2 year of warehouse or stockroom experience preferred.
• Basic math and data entry skills required.
• Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and operating instructions.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Regular standing, walking, and use of hands to handle or feel objects.
• Must be able to work in a warehouse environment (exposure to moderate noise, dust, and varying temperatures).

Responsibilities

• Receive, verify, and inspect incoming materials and components, ensuring documentation matches defense contract requirements.
• Accurately label and store materials in accordance with DFARS and ITAR regulations and internal procedures.
• Issue parts and assemblies to production based on manufacturing orders and bills of material.
• Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records within ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, or similar).
• Ensure materials are properly segregated and identified to preserve lot and serial traceability.
• Support compliance with internal and external audits, including documentation and inventory tracking.
• Adhere to safety standards and company policies regarding the handling of sensitive and controlled items.
• Maintain clean, organized stockroom areas and perform routine cycle counts.
• Communicate discrepancies or damaged goods immediately to supervisor for proper resolution.
