About The Position

The position involves loading and unloading material within a warehouse or storage facility. Employees will utilize hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, conveyors, or other handling equipment to move material to and from aircraft, trucks, or trains and within the storage facility. The role requires knowledge of commonly-used practices and procedures within the field, relying on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform job functions under immediate supervision. The primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment and typically report to a supervisor or manager.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to read and write.
• Proficient in shop math and understanding part number and inventory system.
• Computer literate and able to enter information into inventory system.
• Familiarity with Excel.
• 6 months to 1 year experience with Oracle computer system preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive and disburse MRO items as instructed.
• Verify correctness of items and quantity received against receiver or P.O. information.
• Accurately stock items per locater system.
• Distribute receiving paperwork to finance department.
• Update Oracle to reflect items received.
• Validate requisition information and accurately pull items to disburse per requisition.
• Note level of inventory to alert to potential stock out conditions.
• Update Oracle to reflect items disbursed.
• Perform cycle counting daily to prevent stock outs.
• Conduct daily checks of lift truck to ensure all systems are functional and safety devices are in place.
• Practice good housekeeping and be available for assignment as required by supervisor.
