Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze inventory issues, investigate discrepancies, and expedite urgent orders.
  • Computer literacy and comfort working with complex inventory systems (Maximo, SAP, Microsoft Outlook).
  • Ability to multitask, work independently, and interact professionally with employees at all levels.
  • Strong problem‑solving abilities, especially when identifying missing or unclear stock information.
  • Ability to thrive in an environment with frequent interruptions while maintaining accuracy and service quality.
  • Forklift operating capability (training can be provided if needed).

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the effectiveness of the site’s quality system while supporting all stockroom operations.
  • Use Maximo/SAP to process and maintain inventory transactions, support counter service, and follow up on open stock orders.
  • Receive, issue, store, and track stock items; verify receiver sheets for accuracy; resolve discrepancies.
  • Perform daily cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy and support maintenance reliability.
  • Process repair orders, including obtaining RA numbers, completing documentation, and preparing items for shipment.
  • Assist Procurement and Accounts Payable by addressing invoice discrepancies and providing financial reporting for plant personnel.
  • Supply repair parts for preventive maintenance, shutdowns, and daily equipment needs.
  • Set up new stock inventory data and maintain accurate records in the Shaw Ware system.
  • Operate a forklift and safely lift items up to 50 lbs.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support department goals.
  • You’ll be accountable for meeting our compliance standards including FDA, OSHA and Abbott policies and procedures.
