About The Position

The Stockroom Assistant plays a crucial role in maintaining an organized and efficient store environment, ensuring that merchandise is received, inspected, and stocked properly. This position is essential for supporting customer service efforts and collaborating with the store team to meet customer needs. Requirements

• Previous experience in retail or stock management is preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and an eye for visual aesthetics.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Must be available for night shifts and be flexible with work hours.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in retail management (1 year preferred).
• Experience in stock room management (1 year preferred).

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming merchandise shipments accurately and verify their contents against packing lists.
• Inspect items for quality, quantity, and any damages or discrepancies.
• Report any issues or discrepancies to the store manager per policy.
• Ensure efficient and organized storage of merchandise in the stockroom.
• Properly tag items for security and rotate stock to maintain freshness.
• Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records through regular stock counts.
• Collaborate with the store team to meet customer needs and assist with customer inquiries.
• Assist with special projects, such as seasonal inventory changes and store displays.
• Restock merchandise on the sales floor as needed to maintain an appealing shopping environment.
• Keep the stockroom clean, organized, and free from safety hazards.
• Follow company policies and procedures related to safety and security.
