About The Position

The position involves leading and supporting inventory management and merchandising standards and maintenance at the Michaels store in Rock Hill, SC. The role requires planning for and providing a well-merchandised and in-stock store for customers, ensuring a friendly customer service experience. Major activities include assisting the Store Manager in managing adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and company programs, managing truck processes, executing planogram processes, and maintaining seasonal sets according to visual merchandising standards. The position also involves interacting positively with customers and team members, assisting with Omni channel processes, and being cross-trained in Custom Framing selling and production.

Requirements

  • Retail merchandising and customer service experience preferred.
  • Ability to remain standing for long periods of time.
  • Ability to move throughout the store.
  • Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching.
  • Ability to lift heavy boxes and access high shelves using a ladder or similar equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Store Manager in leading and managing adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and Company programs.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and requirements.
  • Manage and support the truck processes and lead teams to ensure standards are met.
  • Achieve personal and team KPI's.
  • Manage, execute and support the planogram process (POG's) to standard.
  • Manage and execute shrink and safety programs.
  • Serve as Manager on Duty (MOD).
  • Maintain seasonal sets and feature space to visual merchandising standards.
  • Assist with interviewing, onboarding, coaching, and training of new team members.
  • Support Talent Development activities and participate in Performance Management activities.
  • Interact with others in an accepting and respectful manner.
  • Acknowledge customers, help locate products, and provide solutions.
  • Assist with Omni channel processes.
  • Be cross-trained in Custom Framing selling and production.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
