About The Position

All store team members play an essential role in building the company brand by delivering excellent customer service. This role focuses on maximizing product inventory and supporting online business operations to ensure a positive shopping experience. While primarily merchandising, the position may also include sales, front end, or other responsibilities. Internally, the role is referred to as Merchandiser and reports to the store management team. If designated as a seasonal role, it will be short-term (no longer than six months) with an option to apply for a non-seasonal role. The company is America’s largest independent retailer of wine, spirits, and beer, seeking motivated individuals to provide best-in-class service and develop their careers.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent
Must be 21 years of age or older
Ability to walk, bend down repeatedly, and be on feet for 8-10 hours a day
Ability to climb ladders and lift 50 lbs. overhead and repeatedly
Ability to work a flexible schedule as business requires, including evenings and weekends

Nice To Haves

1-3 years of experience
1+ years of experience in a retail setting preferred
Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and inventory management software

Responsibilities

Maximize product inventory, including processing freight, organizing and distributing inventory, pulling and stocking merchandise, building displays and end caps, and placing signage.
Support digital business operations by fulfilling orders and assisting with in-store and curbside pick-up and delivery services, including driving and making deliveries if assigned.
Deliver exceptional service and a personalized experience by greeting customers, engaging to build relationships, and informing about products and services.
Participate in wine, spirits, and beer training to build product knowledge.
Maintain knowledge of advertisements, promotions, and loyalty programs.
Maintain safety and cleanliness standards across the store.
Ensure adherence to all applicable laws and regulations related to the sale of alcohol and maintain a safe and compliant store environment.
Complete cross-functional responsibilities and other duties as assigned.
Load and deliver orders in a safe and professional manner, following company policies and procedures and abiding by all traffic and safety laws (if delivery is an essential job function).
