The individual will be responsible for warehousing and stocking of various materials, including maintaining accurate material tracking through an inventory management system. The selected candidate will perform preloading/packing of material on trucks and unloading of any/all items to be warehoused; coordinate accurate stocking of material as defined; and carry out order functions as requested. Individual will be responsible for the movement of material which may include, but is not limited to, operating a forklift, hand truck, cart, or any other equipment that is used to perform warehousing duties; will be responsible to pick orders using ladders, where the ability to work at heights is necessary; coordinate with responsible parties to verify ordered equipment where accuracy is in question; and to report any concerns regarding damaged/potentially damaged materials to the appropriate individual. The selected candidate will be responsible for lifting and lowering of stock weighing between up to 70 pounds (at times) and 50 pounds on a frequent basis; utilizing an inventory management system; coordinating orders and deliveries with responsible individuals; verifying stock accuracy if requested; and receiving storeroom inventory and reordering materials. The use of handheld scanning technology to process stores transactions as well as a personal computer is required. The successful candidate will be required to be trained on and satisfactorily complete the Eversource Time Merit Progression (TMP) program established for bargaining unit stockhandlers.
