Requirements

No formal education or experience required.
Ability to read and recognize simple words and numbers.
Capability to print and speak simple sentences.
Apply common sense to carry out simple instructions.
Manage standardized situations with minimal variables.
Insured vehicle and a valid Alaska driver's license (with no or low points).
Provide a driving record, proof of insurance at hire.
Comply with Joint Base Elmendorf/Richardson transportation regulations.
Pass a criminal background check and obtain security clearance for the worksite.

Nice To Haves

Six months of prior successful employment or related experience preferred.
High School Diploma or GED is a plus.
Experience in grocery stocking.
Previous janitorial experience.
Familiarity with industry-standard stocking and janitorial equipment.
Experience working with individuals who experience disabilities.
Effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

Uphold and demonstrate Assets, Inc.'s core values and mission in all tasks.
Perform direct labor according to OSHA safety standards and site management requirements.
Moving merchandise using heavy equipment
Stocking shelves and displays, rotating stock, and repairing labels
Cleaning shelves and fronting merchandise
Operating a cardboard bailer and pallet jacks
Emptying trash, sweeping, mopping, and cleaning restrooms
Maintaining hard floors and spot cleaning carpets
Cleaning the meat market area
Participate actively in company meetings and trainings.
Maintain proactive relationships with customers and coworkers.
Adhere to all company policies.
Support team efforts and contribute to strengthening team structures.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
