About The Position

Parking Operations, Planning and Analysis is seeking to hire two (2) highly skilled and qualified candidates to perform the duties, tasks, and responsibilities of Stock Worker Level 2 to work in the Meter Maintenance Unit. Under direct supervision, candidates will manage all store activity internally and with relation to the Agency's rules and regulations. Responsible for the maintenance of storehouse structures and equipment. Conduct general inspections and spot checks the upkeep of inventory and/or other warehouse activities. Monitor inventory received, stored and shipped. Ensure storehouse is clean and maintained in upkeep of tools, equipment and storage areas are in an orderly manner to meet compliance with safety rules and regulations. Monitor, maintain and take remedial action for non-usable broken items. Responsible for packing, unpacking, counts, weighs and measurements of materials supplies and equipment. Loads and unloads at the storehouse and at point of pick-up, delivery or distribution. Operates motor vehicles for retrieving and loading inventory from facility to central warehouse. Picks supplies from shelves to fill requisitions. Operates forklift and other necessary equipment for loading and unloading. Cares for stock and keeps records and assists in preparing inventories using electronic inventory system to ensure that there are no deficiencies which would compromise the Unit mandated standards.

Requirements

  • Must be serving permanently in the title of Stock Worker or be reachable on the Open Competitive list exam #2100, or be eligible under the 55a program.
  • No formal education or experience requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Possess a valid NYS driver's license which must be maintained for the duration of employment.
  • Experienced in stock room and/or mail room operation.
  • Computer literate.
  • Able to perform the physical tasks of the job.

Responsibilities
