The Stock Readiness Coordinator is responsible for the inspection and proper packaging or repackaging of items in stock. May include incoming and outgoing material as required. Responsible for all coordination between the ISSA and ASC’s Packaging Storage and Containerization Center. Coordinates with work center leadership to advise in the assignment and execution of Care of Supplies in Storage (COSIS) inspections sheets. Enters completed data sheets into the Stock Readiness Data Portal (SRDP). Collaborates with Shelf-Life Coordinator to focus on Type I (non-extendable) for expiration date and Type II (extendable) items through visual checks, lab testing (SLES) and storage conditions. Usage of the DOD Shelf-Life Extension System (SLES) for guidance and extension while ensuring proper documentation for all items to maintain readiness. Thoroughly inspect all ESDS received as batch/CC A ensuring items are packaged per Army packaging requirement. Identifying ESDS items damage or deficient packaging no longer in an issuable condition and needs to be classified as CC “F”. Knowledge of WPM Compliance Identifying correct markings on all pallets in location, ensuring heat treated stamp is visible in accordance with Wood Packaging Material. Identifies all items in stock are properly labeled or created in accordance to MIL-STD-129R. Conducts routine inspections of work center stock storage areas. Identifies needs for material and requests supplies through internal and external sources. Works closely with work center leadership to author and submit annual budgetary requirements for labor and material to LRC Finance point of contact. Tracks the training requirements and maintains certification documentation for personnel conducting COSIS inspections as part of their normal duties. Stock Readiness Coordinator enforces procedures set in place and is expected to perform tasks beyond their core duties assigned by supervisor and management.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • Able to attend and pass Pack1A, Pack 1B training, and a Wood Packaging Material course.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC).
  • Must be able to pass a pre- employment drug screen.
  • Valid State Driver's License without restrictions.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Three years' of warehouse experience.
  • Three years' of packaging inspection and repackaging experience.
  • Basic motor skills to manipulate packaging material
  • Basic computer skills with the ability to learn government portals and documents

Responsibilities

  • Conducts physical COSIS inspections daily ensuring items are ready for issue or needs of preservation to avoid degradation, corrosion, damage, Shelf-Life expiration, and other deficiencies caused by improper storage or handling methods.
  • Monthly inspects MOP 50 Long Life Reusable Containers (LLRCs) are received with a serviceable condition humidity indicator and100% of the hardware properly installed.
  • Repackaging of material and items in stock.
  • Keying completed COSIS inspection forms into SRDP.
  • Tracks certification and training dates of personnel conduction COSIS inspection.
  • Tracks material expenses, determines budgetary requirements, and drafts memorandums annually.
  • Manages inventory of packaging supplies periodically to ensure they aren’t depleted.
