Work Location: Onsite: Christiansburg, VA FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provide basic lab assistance to the Quality Control department and other areas as assigned Uses established procedures to: Perform basic maintenance on analytical instruments Clean glassware/flasks - Prepare reagent and cleaning acids Refill consumable supplies Organize MEB retains Check in of documentation (“Golds”) from MFG Maintain inventory of instrument parts and NISTs Organizing/purging old materials as necessary Miscellaneous support duties are to include: Clerical duties organizing CoAs and SDS General cleaning Other duties as assigned Adheres to established safety rules/guidelines Wears appropriate personal protective equipment Properly disposal of waste material Other duties as assigned Requirements Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Requirements

• Ability to follow established procedures, policies and guidelines
• Ability to work independently with a minimum of supervision and also as part of a team.
• Keen attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

• An interest in science and/or basic knowledge of the periodic table.
• Prior experience in a lab setting.
