About The Position

The Stock Plan Administrator at Axogen plays a crucial role in managing the company's stock plans and ensuring compliance with all related accounting entries and disclosures. Reporting directly to the Director of SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting, this position is responsible for the day-to-day administration of various equity compensation plans, including Employee Stock Purchase Plans (ESPP), stock option exercises, and Restricted Stock Unit (RSU) releases. The administrator will prepare and provide essential information to employees regarding vesting schedules, exercise processes, and eligibility criteria, ensuring that all equity compensation is administered in accordance with the established terms and conditions of the plans. This role requires a deep understanding of global equity incentive programs, including stock options, RSUs, Performance Stock Units (PSUs), and ESPPs, particularly in the context of public companies. In addition to the administration of stock plans, the Stock Plan Administrator will coordinate with external firms for fair market value valuations of awards and assist in the preparation of SEC Forms 3 and 4 for Section 16 filers. The role also involves preparing equity and stock compensation disclosures for SEC Forms 10-Q, 10-K, and Proxy statements, as well as budgeting and forecasting stock compensation expenses. The administrator will generate recurring reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, responding promptly to ad hoc data requests from business partners. Year-end income tax reporting of equity transactions and performing reconciliations for key Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls are also critical responsibilities. Collaboration is key in this role, as the Stock Plan Administrator will work closely with payroll, human resources, and legal departments to maintain data integrity and ensure accurate recordkeeping of equity data using the Equity Edge Online platform. Providing excellent customer service to equity participants and partners across departments is essential, as is the ability to respond quickly and courteously to employee inquiries regarding equity topics. The administrator will also help develop and document training programs and materials, create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and generate internal reporting of related Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Compliance with all company policies, procedures, and SOX Section 404 internal controls is mandatory, as is the maintenance of financial and SOX documentation in an acceptable manner. The role may also involve driving scalability and cost-saving initiatives and performing other duties as assigned.
