The purpose of this position is to safely and efficiently maintain and organize production stock within the Warehouse and storage facilities. Control separation of held or restricted product. Assist with training and overseeing employees to ensure their safety while maintaining an accurate control of company stock. The position reports directly to the Warehouse Supervisor and works with other plant personnel in a team environment and complies with company policy, regulatory and company standards.

Requirements

Valid Driver’s License.
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Previous or current forklift certification. Hired candidate will receive training and certification upon completion of hire.
1-3 years’ experience
Work cooperatively with co-workers while giving and receiving information
Must be able to read, write, and understand English
Prior forklift driving experience required
Prior inventory control experience preferred
Computer literacy
Previous experience working with Quality to remove holds and run Line to Line
Work with USDA inspector and pull pallets to get samples

Nice To Haves

Prior inventory control experience preferred

Responsibilities

Understand and utilize product code system to include pallet tagging, scanning, and identifying warehouse inventory by appropriate code.
Understand the pallet identification and tracking system.
Complete and maintain records in a legible manner.
Properly perform all stock control processes.
Safely operate a powered industrial lift truck, to include but not limited to: Stacking finished goods or empty cans up to four high. Load and unload trucks. Move products and supplies to/from label lines and/or warehouse.
Complete appropriate sampling and paperwork relating to shipping and receiving.
Complete the daily driver checklist and maintain a clean work area.
Organize and lead employees to ensure their safety and accurate work.
Segregate product based on status and proper placement at the label lines.
Ensure accurate inventory status & maintain accurate inventory levels.
Compliance with the Truck Loading Procedures.
Working with Quality to remove holds and run Line to Line.
Work with USDA inspector and pull pallets to get samples.
Perform other assigned duties requested by supervisor
