About The Position

Ensure inventory accuracy through the utilization of correct transactions, record keeping and cycle count processing techniques. Manage the efficient flow of materials through the kitting and Kanban replenishment processes, in order to meet production requirements as specified in manufacturing work orders or schedules on a continuous basis. Serve as backup to Stockroom & Receiving Supervisor.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalency required
  • 2 to 3 years relevant experience required
  • Prior experience in a stockroom or warehouse function
  • Experience with a general material planning system and/or inventory transaction processing
  • Experience in receiving operations
  • Requires in depth knowledge about the companies products and services
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to follow all applicable Business Management System (BMS) processes
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to read, write and speak English.
  • Ability to compose reports and correspondence
  • Knowledge of basic addition, subtraction, division and multiplication of numbers is required
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
  • Know and follow established company core values

Responsibilities

  • Monitors receipt of manufacturing work orders MO's and pull materials to meet kit requirements.
  • Monitors and controls inventory in stockroom via correct transactions.
  • Monitors manufacturing work orders MO's for sub-assemblies in support of the production schedule.
  • Releases manufacturing work orders MO's into shop floor control system DataSweep.
  • Performs daily cycle counts and physical inventory counts as required.
  • Supports shortage fulfillment by utilizing access work order shortage report.
  • Kits materials for parts orders and packages for shipments as specified.
  • Replenishes floor stock & Kanban carts as needed to maintain continuous production.
  • Maintain stockroom organization and cleanliness on a daily basis.
  • Occasionally may assist in maintaining dock area organization, cleanliness, and remove pallets on a daily and/or as needed.
  • Restock packaging areas as needed and or upon request.
  • Assist in the off-loading of deliveries and/or the preparation and loading of shipments as needed.
  • Assist in putting away stock into the proper location.
  • Report any problems/issues directly to the supervisor for resolution.
  • Serves as the designated backup for Receiving operations, including verifying shipments, processing receipts. in the ERP system, and coordinating with carriers.
  • Provide coverage in Receiving during absences, high-volume periods, or operational needs.
  • Supports the Stockroom & Receiving Supervisor in maintaining accurate inbound documentation and resolving discrepancies.
  • Learns about the Company's business as appropriate.
  • Shows up to work on time and attends work as scheduled.
  • All other duties as requested by supervisor or department head.
