Requirements

  • High School education, or equivalent reading, writing, and mathematical abilities.
  • 2 to 4 years related work experience.
  • Effective computer skills; Microsoft Office software and other company and discipline specific software applications.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be detail oriented with the ability to multi-task, prioritize and plan work.
  • Ability and willingness to work extended hours or second shift, when needed.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain stock, keep a running inventory, and verify stock that is issued and received.
  • Ensure all parts are first approved by Quality Control Department prior to issuing to the departments or to shipping.
  • Safely handle, store and dispose of all hazardous materials in accordance with Company processes and regulations.
  • Ensure documentation is completed and filed correctly in order to track it to the vendor or manufacturer by purchase order number.
  • Update Resource Planning database (CIMA) with current and accurate inventory counts for materials, parts and / or articles.
  • Issue and account for company owned tooling including precision measurement calibrated tooling.
  • Operate forklifts; utilize pallet-jacks, hand trucks, to move, store, or deliver bulk items.
  • Make sure that purchase order numbers are permanently marked on all parts.
  • Ensure that all supplies are ordered through Purchasing.
  • Maintain a sufficient supply of materials and equipment for personnel as required.
  • Unload and inspect incoming materials; deliver supplies within the company.
  • Ensure efficient and economical utilization of materials and the elimination of wasteful practices.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment in accordance with company standards.
  • Complete initial / recurrent training requirements in a timely manner.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
