A Stock Associate works as part of a team to stock and arrange merchandise while utilizing their eye for organization. They are friendly, enjoy helping people, and are able to multitask with their responsibilities: Assist with stocking, product display and rotation, inventory and quality control Interact with customers and share your knowledge of the store's vast selection of items Operate and maintain department equipment such as safety cutter, baler, high lift and electric/hand jacks (must be 18 years old to operate some equipment) Count and sort incoming products to verify receipt of items on requisition or invoices Examine stock for damaged product and place in designated areas Break down loads and move cases of product to aisles using two or six-wheeler Match order codes, UPC codes or product descriptions to shelf tags before stocking shelves Ensure that the store is well-stocked and looks showroom-ready- it's Dierbergs, and our customers expect the best Reconcile invoices and requisitions with product deliveries Set up and take down displays and/or shelves according to company standards Perform cashier or courtesy clerk duties when requested Stock an average of 60 cases per hour
