About The Position

Episcopal Retirement Services is hiring passionate STNA and Resident Assistant professionals for the Marjorie P. Lee Retirement Community. This part-time position operates from 3 PM to 11 PM and offers a great culture, reasonable ratios, and opportunities for growth. The STNA/Resident Assistant will provide people-centered care to residents, ensuring their personal, physical, psycho-social, and spiritual needs are met.

Requirements

  • Hold an active Ohio State tested nurse aid certification.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, or move 50 lbs regularly and 100 lbs occasionally.
  • Ability to relate to and work effectively with the aging population.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Physical ability to fulfill ongoing functions of the position.
  • Maintain an attendance record within the company's attendance policy.
  • Demonstrate harmonious interaction with all individuals.
  • Knowledge and competencies for age-specific interventions.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience caring for residents with dementia.
  • Experience working in long-term care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide people-centered care to residents including grooming, bathing, feeding, and activities.
  • Answer call lights within 60 seconds, either verbally or in person.
  • Maintain resident functional abilities at optimum levels using restorative devices and programs as ordered.
  • Keep living environments clean, safe, and inviting by maintaining clutter-free rooms and common areas.
  • Follow facility policies and procedures for infection control and practice standard precautions.
  • Read, understand, implement, and evaluate the residents' current Plan of Care.
  • Update resident-related information using computerized medical records systems and complete administrative responsibilities timely.
  • Notify the charge/care team nurse of changes in resident conditions, family concerns, malfunctioning equipment, and other pertinent observations.
