About The Position

Educators will engage in developing the CAMINOS Social Studies Units for CHS. This process includes developing the Yearlong (YL) scope and sequence, identifying lesson standards and key understandings, and opportunities to develop cross-linguistic awareness. Additionally, they will focus on lesson-level planning, emphasizing the selection of appropriate teaching practices that incorporate high-order thinking tasks and targeted support for dual-language classrooms. Teachers will be paid at the contractual rate for work outside of the school day (up to 25 hours total)

Requirements

• Educator from high school who teaches entering and emerging MLLs
• Strong understanding of the content and EL Strategies
