About The Position

About Coon Rapids Ace Hardware: We are a fun, energetic and independently owned hardware store who believes in having a well rounded and diverse staff. Our associates do a little bit of everything, with the foremost focus on the Customer. We are looking for applicants who can work 24-40 hr/week, with a mix of morning, day and evening availability (till 8:15pm). Our store hours are 8a-8p Monday-Friday, 8am-7pm Saturday and 9a-5p Sunday. General Summary Coon Rapids Ace Hardware is looking for an applicant who is handy, good with tools and high attention to detail to satisfy our Customers. Experienced is mandatory. This is NOT an entry level position. Position Summary Build and service Stihl equipment Re-screening, re-building, and glazing windows (as a back-up) Ordering and installing thermo-pane windows (As back-up) Write and maintain daily contract file Train customers on use of rental equipment Service rental equipment Sharpening Cut and program keys Help on retail floor during slower periods About Coon Rapids Ace Hardware: We are a fun, energetic and independently owned hardware store who believes in having a well rounded and diverse staff. Requirements

High School Diploma
Posses a vast knowledge hardware related products along with willingness to learn.
Previous Stihl experience (Silver or Gold certified) highly preferred, small engine repair experience mandatory
Knowledge of retail computer systems, MS Word and Excel a plus
A commitment to service excellent interpersonal skills
Excellent communication skills, exceptional organizational ability, high attention to detail, and ability to multi-task
Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays to meet the needs of the business
Must be able to lift 40 pounds frequently to load and unload Customer orders
Ability to stand for an extended period of time
Move and handle boxes of merchandise and fixtures throughout the store, which entails lifting and perform all functions as set forth
Stihl tech or small engine tech: 3 year (Mandatory)
Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
