Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or a minimum of five years of experience working in database management.
  • Preferred 3-5 years of fundraising operations experience and fundraising support.
  • Proficiency in Windows-based computer software is required.
  • Strong writing skills, attention to detail, effective multitasking, organization and project management skills.
  • Ability to work in a team atmosphere and manage a flexible schedule.
  • Commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive work environment as demonstrated through work, life or community experience.
  • Willingness to work beyond normal working hours, when necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Orchestrates department wide process for CEO briefings and call lists.
  • Prepares donor briefings for CEO, CDO and board members on the Community Engagement and Philanthropy Committee.
  • Manages requests for CEO/SLT participation in events.
  • Writes external facing content for development materials including annual impact report, campaign reports, annual giving summary letters, case for support, program 'one pagers' for designated funding opportunities, and general operating proposals.
  • Collaborates with individual giving (annual fund and major gifts) and institutional giving to ensure content is appealing across a wide array of donor audiences.
  • Helps individual and institutional team gain synergy with stewardship strategies that lead to increased giving.
  • Partners with development operations which is responsible for data for stewardship mailings.
  • Coordinates stewardship mailings for department.
  • Works with colleagues to gather information to create a department-wide stewardship calendar of all mailings, campaigns, events.
  • Responsible for donor signage and recognition in partnership with Marketing and Communications team.
  • Maintains required job knowledge and skills and core professional competencies.
  • Actively supports and champions initiatives aimed at driving continuous improvement throughout the organization.
  • May participate in one of the following: LEAN council, a kaizen, 5S campaign or other process improvement efforts to support continuous improvement and improved processes within the food bank.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
