Requirements

  • Ladder climbing to storage area
  • Stair climbing to store room
  • Forward bending, squatting, reaching to get equipment out of cupboards
  • Push hot boxes (2,000 lbs.) through carpeted hallways a distance of 1,000 feet or more.
  • Bending and reaching to inventory refrigerator
  • Standing, walking, handling dishes
  • Use of both hands needed to scrape food not eaten into garbage, separate dirty dishes, and loading

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for transporting all equipment and food/beverage to function areas by the hotel standards.
  • The ability to set up and break down work areas properly.
  • The ability to read, understand, and follow each component of a Banquet Event Order and procedures.
  • The ability to collect all the equipment needed like china, glassware, silverware, etc. for banquet events and have them delivered to function rooms.
  • The ability to set up and deliver all food items that are the pre-arranged responsibility of Stewarding for a banquet event to the functions room on time following the hotel standards.
  • Responsible to assist with banquet plate up as directed.
  • The ability to set up a breakdown area and assist in the breakdown and cleanup of all dirty dishes returning from a banquet room.
  • The ability to respond properly in a y hotel emergency or safety situation.
  • The ability to perform other tasks or projects as assigned by hotel management and staff.
  • Work collaboratively with the banquets team to ensure seamless execution of events.
  • Assist with dishwashing as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation awareness standards.
  • Prepare daily for the health department and Ecosure inspections.
  • Responsible for replenishing banquet kitchen areas with clean equipment.
  • Empty trash and recycle bins regularly, maintaining cleanliness and tidiness throughout events.
