About The Position

We are seeking a hardworking and dependable Steward to join our kitchen team. The Steward is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen by washing dishes, utensils, and equipment, and ensuring a safe and sanitary environment for all staff.

Requirements

• No prior experience required; training will be provided.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize all dishes, utensils, glassware, and kitchen equipment following proper procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing area, sinks, and dish racks.
• Ensure garbage and recycling are emptied regularly and properly disposed of.
• Assist with basic kitchen cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and cleaning kitchen surfaces.
• Maintain proper storage and organization of cleaned items.
• Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies as needed.
• Support kitchen staff by ensuring clean equipment is readily available during service.
• Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
• Assist with additional tasks as assigned by the kitchen manager or chef.
