Position Summary: Blackstone Country Club is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Steward to support our culinary team by maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and organization in our kitchen and back-of-house areas. As a vital part of the Food & Beverage team, the Steward ensures a safe, sanitary environment that enhances the overall dining experience for our members and guests.

Requirements

• Previous steward or kitchen utility experience preferred, but not required
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Regular and Reliable attendance.

Nice To Haves

• ServSafe certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Wash, sanitize, and properly store all dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of dishwashing area, kitchen floors, trash receptacles, and storage areas
• Assist with basic food prep and set-up as directed by chefs or kitchen supervisors
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals
• Monitor dishwashing machines for proper chemical levels and water temperature
• Assist with receiving and organizing deliveries and supplies
• Support chefs and line cooks with cleaning duties during and after service
• Report any maintenance or safety issues to management promptly
• Work collaboratively with all departments to support smooth kitchen operations
