About The Position

As a Steward at Goodstone Inn & Restaurant, you play a critical behind-the-scenes role in delivering an exceptional guest experience. You are responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment while supporting the culinary and service teams. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and understands that a clean kitchen is the foundation of great hospitality.

Requirements

Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices

Responsibilities

Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, dish area, and storage spaces
Operate dishwashing equipment to clean dishes, glassware, pots, pans, and utensils
Ensure all sanitation and safety standards are consistently followed
Assist cooks and service staff as needed to support smooth kitchen operations
Collect and remove trash from all kitchen and service areas following proper procedures
Perform general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces
Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, floors, and walls in accordance with standards
Follow all Safety Data Sheet (SDS) guidelines for proper chemical use
Maintain a safe, clean, and inspection-ready environment at all times
Support team members and contribute to a positive, collaborative work environment
Perform additional duties as assigned
