About The Position
Signia by Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek is looking for a Steward to join our team! An Official Walt Disney World® Hotel, a 1009-room, newly renovated resort offering an elevated experience for your stay in Orlando. We are an Official Walt Disney World® Hotel, welcoming guests into a blend of inspired hospitality, and exceptional amenities. From a brand-new lobby to elevated guest rooms, signature dining and innovative meetings, guests can enjoy memorable family or business experiences and best-in-class travel in iconic Orlando. Ideal Candidate will have at least 1 year of Banquet Steward and Customer Service experience and will be able to communicate in English and understand the language. Shift Pattern: Full Availability is required for this role. Candidate will work rotating shifts throughout the week including weekends and holidays. As a Steward, you would be responsible for transporting and cleaning cooking utensils and serviceware in the hotel’s continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
Requirements
- At least 1 year of Banquet Steward and Customer Service experience
- Communicate in English and understand the language
- Full Availability is required for this role
- Candidate will work rotating shifts throughout the week including weekends and holidays
Responsibilities
- Wash dishes and operate the dishwasher to clean all chinaware, silverware and cooking utensils
- Scrub pots and pans
- Burnish, de-tarnish and polish silver
- Stock and maintain supplies and equipment
- Perform cleaning duties including, but not limited to, mopping and removing trash
- Transport and store clean serviceware
- Train other stewards, as needed
- Prepare and place clean serviceware for events and functions
