About The Position

The Kitchen Steward is responsible for the non-cooking activities such as dishwashing, equipment cleaning, and overall kitchen cleanliness.

Requirements

  • Understanding all kitchen equipment and appliances for maintenance and cleaning purposes.
  • Must have basic knowledge of chemical usage and be able to meet any required OSHA regulations and health department standards.
  • Oral and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and handle high pressure situations in an interruptive environment.
  • Black Non-slip shoes required.
  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • One year of food service work experience is preferred
  • Must be able to complete any classes or certifications required.
  • Able to obtain a valid Racing License.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for cleaning kitchen work areas and food service equipment, sweeping and mopping floors, washing work tables and walls, and overall kitchen cleanliness.
  • Responsible for removing trash, cleaning trash cans, washing dishes by hand or in the dishwasher, and cleaning fryers and vents.
  • Responsible for reporting any maintenance required for kitchen areas and ensure food service equipment is in proper working order.
  • Responsible for stocking and cleanliness of Team Member breakroom.
  • Assist with stocking of non-alcoholic beverage stations.
  • Ensure the safety and security of Team Members.
  • Other duties as assigned
