About The Position

The primary responsibility of the Steward II is to clean all stoves, ovens, and grills correctly and thoroughly. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and The Venetian Resort's policies, practices, and procedures.

Requirements

  • 21 years of age
  • Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States
  • High school Diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Health card and any other certification or license, as required by law or policy
  • 1 year experience with kitchen cleaning in a restaurant or kitchen facility required
  • Must be willing to handle multiple tasks and learn Venetian Stewarding practices
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both in spoken and written form
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience
  • Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

  • Deep clean major kitchen equipment safely, correctly, and thoroughly
  • Perform all tasks as per the standards
  • Provide service or assistance to meet the needs of a guest, client or customer
  • Comply with policies and procedures of the department or section to complete service satisfactorily
  • Possess skills to expedite sanitation and food handling
  • Take action based upon information to complete a task or assignment
  • Use equipment, tools or systems related to the proper performance of the service
  • Provide expertise based on information keyed, gathered, studied, processed or reviewed
  • Ensure safety as an essential function of the job
  • Maintain consistent and regular attendance
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
