The Steward / Dishwasher is responsible for performing dishwashing and kitchen cleaning functions. This role includes washing dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans, as well as operating dishwashing and other kitchen cleaning equipment. The steward will place clean dishes, utensils, or cooking equipment in storage areas and maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, or utensils in a clean and orderly condition. Additional responsibilities include stocking supplies in serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators, or salad bars, sweeping and washing floors, cleaning trash cans, sorting and removing trash, and performing food preparation functions during staffing shortages or peak periods. The steward should be aware of guest satisfaction scores and work toward increasing departmental and overall guest satisfaction. Following sustainability guidelines related to HHM's EarthView program and practicing safe work habits in accordance with MSDS and OSHA standards are also essential. Other duties may be requested by management.
