About The Position

The Public Health Fellow III position at Staffing Solutions Organization LLC is designed to support public health initiatives in Steuben County, New York. Requirements

• At least three years of experience in health, public health, education, human services, or community-based organizations.
• Three years of experience in administrative, personnel, fiscal, or related operational activities, or a Master's degree.
• Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency with computers, including word processing, data entry, and creating presentations.
• Critical thinking and sound judgment abilities.
• A flexible and adaptive attitude with professional interaction skills with diverse individuals.
• A strong work ethic and positive attitude.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in public health communications or emergency preparedness.
• Familiarity with community health education and outreach strategies.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized professional services related to public health priorities in collaboration with the designated host organization.
• Comply with NYSPHC requirements, including completing necessary certification courses.
• Focus efforts in areas such as communications, emergency preparedness, epidemiology, policy development, and stakeholder engagement.
• Coordinate public health investigations and surveillance activities related to COVID-19 and other public health threats.
• Develop and provide public health education, training, and outreach programs.
• Evaluate and assess data required by the host organization.
• Prepare written summaries, reports, and action plans.
• Plan, create, and disseminate communications for public health outreach.
• Educate and facilitate the public in obtaining appropriate services.
• Communicate regularly with the NYSDOH Fellowship Placement Coordinator.
